These glass objects are inspired by traditional instruments, including seed shakers and rain sticks. In the shakers and rattles, piezo wiring harnesses make these interactive, sensorial sculptures – as depicted in the accompanying photographs.

"We made these works at the beginning of the pandemic and have been thinking about them as beacons of hope, a light within the darkness. A driving concern is climate change and how humans impact the environment. We ask, how can we make light in ways that are sustainable, humanizing, engaging?”
