“Sueños de Iguana is a multimedia installation where a family’s shared iguana dreams go to converse and create form. It is a place where I go to speak with my mother on the things that go unsaid about my transition, in a language I hope to create through texture and color. The wall is covered with painted abstractions of Puerto Rican foliage/fauna, and video projection to depict an alternate or re-imagined island that truly loves and recognizes its Transgender inhabitants.”
